What A Wonderful Christmas

I had a great Christmas this year. I was a lot different than last year. I loved the snow, when it wasn't ice of course. However, when I first saw the ice in the morning I got so excited that maybe just maybe I would get the chance to ice skate in my back yard. I geared up and went out into the blistering weather, stepped to the ice's edge and... I fell. I guess I shouldn't have relied merely on the fragile ice to hold me up. I made a snow man at about 12 am on one of the days. My family was supposed to drive to our cabin in Utah, but the road was closed. My dad booked a family cruse to Mexico and the Caribbean, Flippin' Sweet! Well the best part of my winter break was having the opportunity to just hang with my family and friends. Here are some photos of me and my family and friends this winter.

My Flippin' Awesome Ginger Bread House

Today is Christmas Eve and my family did a lot. Tonight Sarah and I made a ginger bread house. I do have to add that it was the first ginger bread house I have ever made. Sarah quit after 10 minutes, but I persevered. After about an hour of gum balls, gum drops, peppermints, candy canes, and a whole lot of frosting my master piece was complete. I am so proud of my skillful hand work. I owe it all to shop class with Mr. Holliger :-) Here Is THE MASTER PIECE!

Chemo Brain

As you all know my mom had to have Chemotherapy a while ago. Well...now when ever she does something weird or not how it is supposed to be done we blame it on the Chemo. We call it "Chemo Brain". I don't know if you would blame this on my mom or the Chemo, but all in all it is pretty funny.

While my family was making our neighbors their Christmas treats I noticed that there were drips of water and soap on the kitchen floor. With my detective mind and skills I determined that the water was leaking from the dishwasher. My dad then opened the dishwasher, as it was going, and there was mounds of soap bubbles everywhere. Mom then said "Where did all that come from?" No one knew, but then I saw it. The empty soap bottle. My mom is a crazy reduce, reuse, and recycle person. Now that we have the big recycling bins she washes every plastic and tin can we use so that she can recycle it. But what she didn't know was that the little bit of soap left over in the soap bottle would create this disaster in the dishwasher. My dad volunteered to clean up the soap bubbles. A detective like myself always has a camera at hand, so I got some pictures of the clean up. Check it out!

Strawberries on icecream...not gunna happen.

Hey I was looking at my sister Melissa and my Bro in law Brett's blog and I read this
Hi-Lariouse story. I couldn't stop laughing, I just have to share it with you.

Strawberries on icecream...not gunna happen!

So Brett thinks its so weird that I like foods separate rather than mixed together. I love fresh strawberries and I like vanilla icecream, but I don't like strawberries on vanilla icecream. To make him understand a little better I said....Brett, I love you, and I love Jennifer Love Hewitt, but I don't like you ON Jennifer Love Hewitt. I think that cleared things up for him.

Photographer for a brother

If anyone is anyone they know my brother Spencer. He is the world's best photographer and filmer. Liberty high school's film/photography room is named after him, "Spency's Room". When he went to LHS he was known for his talented and funny personality on LTV. Many of LHS's teachers love Spencer. He graduated in from LHS in 2007. He then went to Utah and helped with the making of a comedy movie called "Gentleman Broncos". The director, Jared Hess, is the same guy who directed "Napoleon Dynamite"and my uncle Duff Rich is a movie producer that made both of these movies. The actors you should know that are in the movie are; Sam Rockwell, Jennifer Coolidge, and Jemaine Clement. The movie will be out in 2009. Spencer is now attending PCC, and lives in Rock Creek Oregon. I have grown to love photography as well and I am taking a Photography class at LHS. If you ever see me you should ask me to see his book of photography.

Battle of the Spoons

On Friday night I had a group of friends over and we all played spoons. I thought this game was going to be a normal game like every other time I had played, but no it was crazy.
YUP! From this picture you can see I was the last girl to survive. Three spoons left and I didn't get one. I'm a little slow when it comes to spoons. David on the far left and Chris in the back next to me were the only two left in the end.
As you can see David grabbing the last spoon means he won. It was a victorious game. Chris got jealous of Davids win and he through the cards on David.
We basically stayed up till 1:30am, FUN!

My Love for Hiking

This past summer Sarah and I flew up to Utah to spend some time with my sister Melissa and my awesome Bro in law Brett. All four of us drove up to the bottom of Mt. Timpanogas to hike up the mountain and stay the night.

We found a place for our tent, but our tent was like 20ft by 20ft, no joke. Brett is a big camping person so he has all the good stuff. Sarah, Brett, and I had previously cooked some stakes, so all we had to do was make a fire and eat. Brett loves chocolate milk so that's what we drank. Then we made smores, yummy!

After we ate we headed for bed. We got in the tent, a half hour passes and we hear this thing outside our tent. We all get up at the same time, and Brett says "Hey guys, did you hear that?" Melissa says, "I think its a bear, or maybe a lion." I am basically dead scared at this point. You could see the shadow of this thing outside our tent. We can hear it getting into our camp stuff. Brett then says, "Oh crape... did we put the chocolate milk away?" About 30 minutes pass and each of us are eventually passed out. (Brett was snoring.)
The next morning was Sunday and we all woke up to a hot sun and the sound of the people singing at the outside church down the road. It was a B-E-A utiful morning. I took some pictures and then we all cleaned everything up and got ready to hike up the mountain.

We get to the bottom of the mountain and began our journey up. This climb was a lot harder than I thought it would be. But eventually we got to the spot we were looking for...the waterfall.

We stayed up there for a while to take some pictures and hang out in the shade. I climbed up a big rock and looked out over the trails we walked to get to where we were. I could so make this an analogy to life, but that would bore you. After we were done there we decided to head back down. The nature was even more spectacular the second time down the trails. I loved our hike up Mt. Timpanogas, it was so fun. I would do it all over again in a second.

We drove home and ate dinner at Brett's parents house. I had a great day full of family, nature, and sore feet.
